Japanese Calligraphy and Negative Space

These are two things I've been thinking about for the Project 1 logo. The calligraphy uses symbols that change in width at different points, like the type  in some of the ads we saw for Japanese companies. When I use negative space, the logo looks more attractive and appealing to the eye. So, I'm going to try to incorporate these attributes to the project for a clean, modern look that attracts the viewer.
